A NOTE FROM
ROLAND - Good
morning from warm
and sunny Satellite
Beach! Justin and I
are so thankful to
be enjoying this
beautiful weather
and all our friends
and family that are
back in our lives.
There's nothing like
being home....Our
prayers to all our
friends and patrons
in Palm Bay and all
the areas effected
by fires. We pray
your families and
homes will all be
safe.
After a very busy
six week period,
I finally get a
chance to write a
full update. I'd
like to thank
everyone who
supported the Robben
Ford/Johnny Winter
and Acoustic Alchemy
concerts. That was
quite the weekend!
As successful as
those shows
were, I'm not sure I
want to promote two
concerts in one
weekend again. It
was a lot of work!
In a couple of weeks
or so,
the Brevard
Jazz Series will
celebrate 15 years
of
concert promoting.
It's hard to put in
words what an honor
it is to reach 15
years in a business
where most
independent, for
profit entities
don't last more than
a couple of years.
For me,
reaching this
milestone is a true
gift, a gift that
has come to me
because of the many,
many people that
have made this 15th
anniversary happen.
It truly hasn't been
about me. It's
people like Adam
Chipley, Chris
Hauck, Steve Janicki,
Terri Copman, Nancy
McDonald, Renee
LeBlanc, Cindy
Tibbetts, Susie
Meltzer, Gary
Johnson, Tayna
Klepper, Cathy &
Mark Powers, Robin
Grainger, Dave &
David and all the
many, many others
that in their own
way have touched my
life and have helped
BJS move forward
even when many
questioned our
determination. But I
could not have
reached this plateau
without the love and
support of my
parents, Tomas &
Estela Guilarte and
my son, Justin. I am
very grateful for
having you all in my
life.
BJS and BJS
Productions will be
taking new and
exciting paths in
the next few months.
Times are changing
and we are changing
with them. But what
you can always
expect from us is
the highest and best
quality live music
available in Brevard
county. Don't let
copycats fool you.
For the best quality
and continued
integrity in concert
promotions make sure
you look for
Brevard Jazz
Series or BJS
Productions name.
Enjoy the update!!

ON A
PERSONAL NOTE -
I'd like to
thank Brevard Live
Magazine for the
very nice article
they published on
this months issue
about the Brevard
Jazz Series. Thank
you Heike Clarke for
taking such good
care of us for the
last 23 years.
I'd also like
to wish my son
Justin a very happy
13th birthday.
Justin has
acclimated very well
to life in Florida.
I am very proud of
him and his hard
work at school in
the four
short months he's
been living here
with me. If you'd
like to wish Justin
a happy birthday
please email him a
short note at
justin@jazzseries.com.
Finally I just want
to say how proud I
am of this county
and it's music
enthusiasts for
cultivating such a
tremendous live
local and national
music scene. It
amazes me when I
visit other cities
what little music
culture people have
available to them.
Beginning with the
King Center, right
down to our local
clubs and bars, our
county offers a
tremendous variety
of
live entertainment.
The only way to have
such a variety is
with continued
support from you.
The most important
asset that BJS has
is it's patrons and
their loyalty. I
hope that continues
for many, many
years. As I look
back over the last
15 years, I see many
of the same faces at
our concerts now
that I saw 15 years
ago. So I'll end by
once again thanking
you, our patrons,
for the support over
the last 15 years. I
ask you to please
continue to support
us so we can
continue to bring
the best in national
entertainment to
Brevard for another
15 plus years.
Thanks
again for reading
our update. Thank
you for
your continued
support of our
efforts to bring
THE best
in live national
entertainment to
Brevard! Please tell
a friend about BJS. I
look forward to
saying hello to many
of you at our 15th
Anniversary
Celebration. If
you're on-line, drop
me a line and say
hello! Remember, we
are here for you and
because of you.
Roland
